relative. 47-year-old elias wanatee is currently charged with 2nd degree murder in connection to the death of 50-year- old vernon mace, his niece's husband. he's currently being held in the woodbury county jail on an 800- thousand dollar bond. the stabbing took morning at a home on the westside. court documents say mace suffered six stab wounds. he died at a local hospital. tim: we now know the cause of an early morning fire in sioux city. according to sioux city fire rescue a malfunctioning electrical appliance in the basement of the home is to blame. fire crews responded to a structure fire at 3503 lafayette street just after 4 this mroning. smoke was visiable on arrival but flames were quickly extinguish. the home suffered moderate smoke and water damage and the home is red tagged. " everyone made it out of the home safely, they were alerted by working smoke dectors" sioux city fire rescue would like to remind residents to

found on the side of the road in dubuque has caputred the hearts of the officers that rescued her. deputies ryan kettman and dan kearney responded to a call about the lizard on the side of the road, when they got there they assumed she was frozen because of how cold it was, but they decided to call a veterinarian for help and crank up the heat anyways. " we still weren't sure if she was exactly alive. she had a little movement in one foot, but when a lizard passes, it's kind of like a human. you can have a weird little twitching. but after warming her up with heating lamps for about an hour, she started to move.
